In 1979 Jacobson Companies, Inc expanded their construction portfolio with the formation of Yuma Valley Contractors, a commercial general contractor.    We have extensive experience in the design, development and construction management of projects such as new construction and remodeling of municipal buildings, commercial properties, schools, parks, and churches.  We also have significant success and experience in the design and construction of underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drains, electrical and other utilities.

We are registered with both the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and the California State Licensing Board.  In AZ, we hold licenses for B-1 General Commercial Contraction and A General Engineering.  In CA, we hold a license for B General Building Contractor.   Additionally, we are able to tap the experience and knowledge of other Jacobson entities such as Southwest Lumber, our lumber store and Jacobson Engineering, our civil engineering and land surveyor firm.  We work with architects and designers to produce beautiful, functional structures.
