ABOUT US

yumavalleyaboutus2Jacobson Realty and Development of Yuma, Arizona was founded by Don and Larry Jacobson in 1971. Originally formed as a real estate sales and land development company, it has evolved into a company of several entities. Jacobson Realty and Development soon began building homes, and in January of 1977, the name of the company was changed to Jacobson Companies, Inc., to reflect the many additional activities that the company became involved in.

In 1979, Jacobson Companies, Inc. expanded with the formation of Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc., to serve the commercial construction market in Yuma. Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc., was incorporated in Arizona in March of 1979. Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. and Jacobson Companies, Inc. offers over 40 years of experience in design, development, and construction management.

For optimum quality and cost control, we perform our own utility work, along with rough and finished carpentry. In addition, we purchase many of our materials from Southwest Lumber – a subsidiary of Jacobson Companies, Inc. We have extensive design build experience with utility infrastructures because of our partnership with Jacobson Engineering, another company within the Jacobson Company family.
